She focussed on various aspects of Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace: Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal Act, 2013. She also shared her experiences and took the spirit of the young audience to new heights.
Addressing the session, Ms. Renu Bhatia started her point of discussion on the current topic of #MeToo movement. She said that the #MeToo movement is started with the sharing of any kind of mental harassment one had gone through in their life, but in India, it caught most of the attention because of the Bollywood celebrities who have spoken about the sexual harassment they have faced in the past. In spite of that it takes a lot of courage for a woman to come out and speak about it if she has been through any kind of harassment whether it’s physical, mental or emotional, she added. The session was also addressed by Ms. Shabnam and Ms. Anamika.
The last segment of workshop saw an interesting session of interjection where youngsters clarified their doubts. The workshop was concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Anju Gupta, Chairperson, Women Cell followed by presentation of mementos to the Guests.
