22, November 2018, J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA Faridabad has been selected for setting up Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) which will be facilitated by the MHRD’s Innovation Cell (MIC) to encourage, inspire and nurture young students by supporting them to work with new ideas while they are in formative years.
The MHRD has issued certificate of recognition to Institution’s Innovation Council of the University which has been notified by the University as per the norms of Innovation Cell, MHRD, Government of India.
It may be noted that Union HRD Minister Shri Prakash Javadekar launched the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) program under Innovation cell of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) at AICTE headquarters in New Delhi on November 21, 2018.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dinesh Kumar, while appreciating the initiative, told this as one step forward towards inculcating the culture of Innovation among students. He urged participation of maximum students as it would be helpful to them in their career option also.
Prof. Sandeep Grover, Dean Institutions, informed that our institute has applied for it to MHRD’s Innovation Cell at AICTE and was one among the selected institutions in the country.
This cell is constituted under Prof. Lakhvinder Singh, Training and Placement Officer of the University. Faculty members Dr. Sapna Gambhir and Ms. Rashmi Chawla are also associated with this club. Mr. Saurav Jyani, student of final year, is student coordinator for IIC. In addition to this, Persons from Alumni, Industry, Patent agents and Bank investors are also part of core committee as per norms of MHRD’s Innovation Cell.
